The Watermark Narrowboat Society is a not-for-profit organisation that manages a 67 foot narrow boat called Watermark for hire to Society members. Watermark III is fully equipped to comfortably accommodate 6 adults and 2 children, and is managed by a Committee whose members comprise staff and pensioners.
Membership of the Society is open to eligible staff and pensioners. Members are invited to participate in the annual ballot for holiday dates in early January. Prices start at around £700, and are dependent on when you chose to hire. The season starts in late March, and goes through to the end of October.

Narrowboating is fun and sociable. It is great way to spend a week with the family and friends, young and old, as everyone can get involved. Life on the canal network gives you a completely different view of some of England’s prettiest surroundings. It’s surprisingly easy to adjust to life at four miles an hour.
